I have a friend that worked at Als pizza and it's no good. Raw chicken on top shelfs dripping down on to already cooled chicken. The pizza there I've had wasn't cooked all the way and I politely asked to have it tossed back in oven for a little bit longer , my waitress was very rude and snobby, then she forgets about even coming back to my table for 26 mins so I added up our drink prices with tax, left the money on table and left with out my pizza. Poor service, rude customer service and nasty food. I will mAke sure my family ans friends are never dumb enough to go to this place!!!

I started with their version of bruschetta bread, it was okay..but it had that pungent taste of vinegar, like there was just a tad too much. It was pasta night and I ordered the stuffed shells with spinach. I am not sure what the food was missing but it was bland..very bland. The portion sizes were great, the food was just bland. :/ I don't think I will be visiting on pasta night anymore...I will give Al's another shot.

It was horrible service and food the server name was Kalia and she forgot my drink up charged me for Caesar and didn't tell me messed up my salad on top of that asked for sauce they gave it cold and my seven year old had to wait so long for a slice of pizza we ended getting it to go this was the worst and did I mention I didn't even get my drink until I was boxing my dinner

Dinner was delicious!!! We had food delivered and the order was perfect! I wish we had gotten the name of the guy who took our order because he is AWESOME! My husband placed the order and when he got off the phone he told me the guy was so pumped and treated him like they were buddies! I have had the pleasure of having him take our order before and he is so funny. Makes you laugh and I like that!

We have been to the location on Atlantic and thought to eat at this location thinking it would be the same. The food is ...however the service is not. Very disappointing. Took a very long time to get our food and then could get our server's attention. And I crained my neck with purpose... couldn't miss the body language I was putting out. And she kept walking by.

I like Al's pizza. The crust is thin style which is my least favorite but I still enjoyed it. Besides they had $1 cheese slices (that day) sooo... Win for me! When I'm craving slices of triangle cheesiness in the San Pablo area Al's is definitely the spot. I'll be back there. The pizza might not be 4star worthy pizza but for value for money and service I added a star. The service was good 90% of the time s I've eaten here.

Very nice service! I ate lunch there today & the food was great! There was a slight mixup with my order but the lovely staff were very accommodating... Highly recommended

Pizza is always good. Service is fast and efficient. Negative of the location is accoustics are very bad in restaurant and its very loud. Kidds running around and loud obnoxious patrons distract from a relaxing meal. Eat else where.

Worst Al's experience ever!! My nieces meatballs were hard and our slices looked 8 hours old. I sent my slice back, only to find they sprinkled more cheese on it and have it back!! Al needs to get in here and do some work!!

Costumer service is their number one priority. You are greeted with a very warm welcome when you walk in, checked on while eating and get a very pleasant good bye with a "come again" spirit. I was overly impressed with the managers. My family is in the restaurant business, and we know it is hard to come by attentive managers, so Als better realize what they have!!! Example A.. right as we were walking in, a young woman spilt her drink, and instead of asking one of the employees to clean it up, the manager had a mop and a bucket there immediately. Usually employees stand around and wait for someone to take the initiative, but not in this situation. It was cleaned up before it ever even had time to finish splattering! Al, I am sorry to do this to you, but I had to deduct one star for the pizza. I am very conflicted in doing so, because the pizza slices are only ONE DOLLAR!!!!!!! but maybe you should consider making better quality pizza and upcharging. The pizza is alright, but it is wayyyy tooo thin! I like to bite into something. The slices are no thicker than a quarter. They are very large slices, but it is just not the same. In just reading other reviews I can tell I am not the only one who thinks so! PS: I'll still continue to eat here though :)

First off, we love Al's Pizza, but this location has been bad. Our first time here was a little over a year ago and the food was not even close to the other locations. We tried again this past Friday night around 8:30PM. The waitress was great, no problem there. I ordered the mussles, my favorite, with red sauce. We also ordered a few cheese slices with a coujple extra toppings. The pizza was old slices reheated, probably from lunch time, very thin and the cheese turning hard, yuck. The mussles where less than a half bowl (should be a whole bowl) and the red sauce had the consitancy of tomatoe soup. Sorry, we will never come back to this location.

This is the Al,s Pizza on the corner of Beach and San Pablo. We went for a late lunch, so they weren't busy at all. The slices were made fresh right in front of us, so that is cool. The ingredients are fresh, but it didn't seem like they were generous. Gotta have the cheese! What made me give them 2 stars was the crust. Which I know is a personal topic. Theirs was the thinner crust, and I know a lot of you guys like that. I do not. I like hand tossed or even a little thicker. The restaurant is nicely decorated and very clean. The booths are comfortable. My whole visit was pleasurable, but with that crust, I will go somewhere else for now.

Went with my mom, sis and son. I have been to this location many times in the past and always had good pizza. this was my sisters first time here and it was one she will remember, but not in a good way! We had a coupon for b1g1 free pizza. So we ordered and started eating. All of a sudden this roach runs across the wall and onto the booth where my mom and son were sitting, my sister got up and killed it with a napkin. So the server came and said sorry, but it can happen in the summer and said he would give us free dessert. My sister got cheesecake and started eating and when she got halfway down she noticed it was a fingerprint on the top of the cheesecake on the end. The server said it must have been him when he took it out of the box but he was wearing gloves. So my sister said um no, I watch CSI and no gloves were worn, you can see the lines on the fingerprint ..lol we are never going back to this location again!

I personally love Al's pizza. I've eaten at Al's my entire life, I'm a huge fan. However this location is awful. Every time I go the service is horrible and the food is never as good as it is at other Al's locations. Last night my family and I decided to go to this Al's because it's a closer location to our house. Our salads were wilted and horrible and our server was awful. I really hope they start to pay attention to their customer service or they will lose a lot of business.

Very good pizza-disappointed they don't serve wings- kids chicken fingers don't come w/a side- this is a touch on the expensive side

Three stars for having delicious flavors from fresh ingredients, and for being a local chain. Minus two for the crust--chewy, almost rubbery, and sopping wet in the middle of the pizza. Don't get me wrong. I am a pizza lover, in all of its manifestations. I usually favor thick crust, but I have never turned down a slice that was thin. Al's does a fair job of imitating NY style pies, but there is something wrong with their crust. All too often, the center of the pizza gets soggy and droops, usually leaving toppings and cheese behind as well. I have had pizzas there where the crust just fell apart completely in the middle. I've had this happen at both the Beach Blvd. and the Atlantic Beach location. A true NY style crust should dip a little when you pick it up, but not dribble all over the plate. I can't pin down what causes this problem (maybe they use too much sauce?), but it tends to make Al's a second choice when I'm looking for pizza.

The service was excellent, friendly staff, and excellent chicken parmesan! Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food and service. Definitely worth a visit - I'll be back again for sure!

Sorry, Al. This pizza just didn't live up to the hype at all. At least not at this location. Maybe the Neptune Beach version is better, but I'm skeptical. You can keep all those Best of Jax awards (just like La Nope). I think I might have to take a break from pizza in Jax. I don't say that to be a pizza snob or anything. I can go for the Mellow Mushroom's gourmet style now and then. I'm just getting tired of striking out when it comes to the New York style. Fortunately, we happened upon Delosa's Pizza in Madiera Beach on our recent Tampa trip. Delosa's proved that excellent New York style pizza can still be found in Florida; only problem is that it's 250 miles west of Jax so they probably won't deliver here. Maybe I can convince them to open a franchise in the old Siena's Pizza shop on Kernan (RIP). Back to Al's, who cares if the service is OK, or if the tomato sauce on the pasta is good, if the pizza is average at best and not worth a return trip? I'm not recommending this location to anyone with pizza standards.
